Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: Local Funding Partnerships Special Solicitation

Matching Grants for Violence Prevention Programs - Local Funding Partnerships, an initiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is a matching grants program that connects the Foundation with local grantmakers to fund community-based projects to improve health care for vulnerable populations. The program’s special solicitation, “Peaceful Pathways: Reducing Exposure to Violence, helps diversity-focused grantmakers fund projects to reduce violence in traditionally underserved communities that are defined by race, ethnicity, tribe, gender, sexual identity, or rural/frontier location. Applicants must be nominated by a funder that is principally concerned with the community to be served. This solicitation will provide matching grants of between $50,000 and $200,000 for up to eight new projects that employ community strengths and assets to reduce exposure to violence.  Visit the Foundation’s website to download the Call for Proposals.

National AIDS Fund: Southern REACH

Grant Range:  Up to $100,000

Support for AIDS Advocacy Activities in the Southern U.S. - The National AIDS Fund, in collaboration with the Ford Foundation, is offering grant support through the Southern REACH (Regional Expansion of Access and Capacity to Address HIV/AIDS) initiative. The overarching goal of this initiative is to protect and advance the health, human rights, and dignity of persons most affected by HIV/AIDS in the Southern U.S. Organizations located in Alabama, Arkansas, Northern Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee are eligible to apply. This initiative is designed to support strategic HIV/AIDS policy and advocacy activities led by community-based organizations, advocacy coalitions, and other allies with public policy and advocacy experience. LibertyGives Foundation

Youth Programs in Colorado Supported - The LibertyGives Foundation provides support to nonprofit organizations throughout the state of Colorado. The Foundation's current focus is on supporting causes benefiting underprivileged and at-risk youth in Colorado, with an emphasis on proactive and preventative services. Grants ranging from $1,000 to $150,000 are offered to organizations in the state that address the Foundation’s priority area by providing services to underserved youth.  Visit the Foundation’s website for more information on obtaining a grant request form.
